I bought this plan and it looks amazing. I was wondering if there was a way to get the same plan but twice as wide? I would like to make space for an additional two rooms if possible.

We are very interested in buying these plans. We would think to make some adjustments to the plans though. Is this possible? If so, how do we go about doing so?

Hello 🙂 I was wondering if the bottom floor could be open concept? Or would I need to build those walls? Thanks!

Can this design be constructed out of structural insulated panels?

Support

Hello John,
yes, it can!
Structural insulated panels are a quite obvious solution of small house structures.

Hi Joshua- I was curious if it would be possible to connect 3 or 4 Yvonnes together, by removing an exterior wall (side or back) on each one. I was thinking to use the frame design of the Yvonne (buying 4) to create a slightly larger home, in order to meeting building zone requirements. Also, do you know if the DIY cost for this custom Yvonne build would still be around USD $9K for each (USD $36K)? Hope this makes sense.
Thanks!

Would you comment, please, on the ease and challenges of building this design in modular fashion – ie one unit right next to another as apartment and garage; either at the same time, or building in such a way as to readily add the second unit at a later time? Thank you

I do not know if I understand your question well.

Is the flat balcony terrace tricky to insulate from water?

Support
6 years 7 months ago

I recommend classic asphalt roof insulation with wooden terrace on it. It´s not difficult to build this roof.

Are the plans completely detailed…like how to build from how to install?? Length of all wood and sizes. Brand of material for applianses ect..

Support

That depends on your claims. Whenever we can refund you money.

Are the plans sufficient for most county building permits?

Support

Yes, they are.
Sometimes we need just adjust them.

Are the sample plans exactly like the ones I would be buying for Yvonne? As a novice they seem a bit under-explained/diagramed. Thank you!

Support

No, they aren´t more detailed. As a novice, I recommend you the book How to build a tiny house. You are very welcome!

Just bought your “how to build a tiny house” book today! Hopefully between that and Yvonne’s plans I can build her. I’m a bit nervous.
